Classroom instruction for pistol course

Teaching firearms shooting skills at the range

My martial arts career has spanned 40 years. I trained in Karate to become proficient in a system of blocks, strikes, and kicks.  I then continued in Ju-jitsu, to round out skills in grappling, throws, and joint locks.  I have spent many years teaching Karate and self defense.  My students developed defense skills and self confidence.  I am a member of the American Okinawan Karate Association, the American Traditional Ju-jitsu Association, and the U.S. Judo Association.
I have been using firearms for about 35 years.  As a member of the U.S. Army Reserve / National Guard, I was trained in both rifle and pistol.  As a Lieutenant and Captain, I often taught basic marksmanship, firearms safety, and range operations.  I worked as Range Safety Officer and as Range Officer-In-Charge during unit firearms qualification.  Additionally, I've been in the field of Law Enforcement, both in Corrections and Police work, for over 25 years.  I have been trained in the use of rifle, pistol, and shotgun.
